12-Year-Old Girl Saves Pug Who Was Left To Die Inside A Garbage Bag

| Published on August 28, 2015

It really breaks my heart when I see news of dogs who got hurt, neglected or abandoned. I cannot imagine what kind of trauma and pain the dog must’ve gone through. But when we see that ordinary people go out of their way to save dogs in need, our faith in humanity somehow gets restored. Especially if the rescuer is child or a teenager!

In Niagara County, a 12-year-old girl just recently saved the life of a senior Pug who was left to die inside a garbage bag on the side of the road. Malory Steiner saw a vehicle tossing a garbage bag and driving away. Malory was horrified when she saw the garbage bag moving. She walked towards it and ripped the bag open. There she saw a senior Pug, still alive but badly hurt. Watch the video below for the full story.

The pug, now named Teddy is safe and recovering from his injuries. Thanks to Malory!

You can help Teddy get the care that he needs by giving a donation at Buffalo Pug & Small Breed Rescue’s website.

If you have any information about Teddy’s previous owners, please contact the Niagara County Sheriff’s office or SPCA Niagara.
