In Copley, Ohio, a kindhearted police officer has adopted a small dog after the owner attempted to break her neck, then threw her in a dumpster.
The owner of the poor pup, a woman named Diamond Owens, told the police that the dog bit her boyfriend a couple of times, and that it was time for her to go. She wanted the dog euthanized, but she had no money to pay for it, so she tried to kill the dog, herself. She tried to break the dog’s neck, and thinking that she was dead, Owens threw her in the dumpster. Luckily, a maintenance worker found the dog, still alive.
The pup, named Honey, was then brought to the Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital to recover. Thankfully, she was in good health, but she was traumatized.
It was there that Honey met Copley Police Officer Chris Santimarino. The kindhearted cop fell in love with Honey and decided to adopt her.

Now Honey is living happily with Officer Santimarino. He believes that there should be stronger penalties for animal cruelty cases. And we definitely agree to that!
