We all know that when you’re expecting the utility company, your pup comes inside. Alan Gamble either wasn’t expecting a visit or just forgot that his new pup needed to be indoors.

Alan posted this photo to Facebook after a utility worker for the gas company refused to enter his yard to read his meter because his dog, Ace, was loose in the yard.

The letter reads, “The meeter reader wasn’t able to access your natural gas meter to do a read for your last bill because there was a dog at the property and they weren’t sure whether it was safe.”

Apparently, the worker was worried that his dog might cause trouble. His very large, very vicious – looking dog.

Both photos have gone viral since Alan Gamble posted them on Facebook. It’s an excellent reminder to the rest of us with pets as “potentially unsafe”.
