He Couldn’t Find A Job That Allowed His Service Dog Until One Company Gave Them A Chance

| Published on June 8, 2016

Job hunting can certainly be tough, but one Canadian man found it nearly impossible to get hired due to his dependence on his service dog.

Because of a brain injury, this man depends on his service dog, Blue, to assist him in his daily life. The pair was continuously rejected from employment until the new Lowe’s store in Regina, Saskatchewan decided to give them both a chance.

“A recent hire is a gentleman that was having difficulty finding employment because of a brain injury and a support dog. So we did what Lowe’s does best: we hired him and outfitted Blue, our customer service canine, with his very own vest,” reads a post on the Lowe’s Canada Facebook page.

Way to go, Lowe’s! And smart move–I know that if I had to go to a home improvement store, I’d go to the one that had a customer service canine! Wouldn’t you?
