In Chester City, Pennsylvania, a group of kids helped save a dog who was left for dead on the side of the road. It just happened that the kids were passing by the street at around five o’clock when they spotted a Pit Bull dumped and left for dead. The kids immediately called 911 and humane police officer Russ Harper with Justice Rescue responded to the call. When officer Harper got to the area, he saw the Pit Bull lying over the weeds; the poor dog was cold and he thought the dog was dead.
When Officer Harper realized that the dog was alive, he raced to Keystone Veterinary Emergency Clinic. The Pit Bull was severely abused, he had bite injuries in his body and he was very weak. Officer Harper says that there’s no question that this poor dog was used in dogfighting.
Officer Harper took the poor dog into his arms, wanting to know that he was safe and sound, and that he would never have to suffer at hands of a human ever again:

He named him Remi, and the severely abused pit bull just wanted to be close to Russ, crawling into his lap! He just wants love. He’s been repeatedly used for dog fighting and was dumped in some weeds when he got sick, and couldn’t fight any longer. Remi is now safe for the first time in his life, being treated and cared for at Keystone Veterinary and Emergency Referral. If it wasn’t for the kids who found the dog and called for help, this dog wouldn’t have survived. Hopefully, the authorities will catch whoever is responsible for abusing this poor dog.
