We asked 6 real Dogue de Bordeaux owners the following question:
What's the one piece of advice you'd give new or prospective Dogue de Bordeaux owners?
Obviously they are known for there drooling and it is not an exaggeration. We have drool on the walls, tv, ceiling. You name it it has had drool on it. It took some getting used to but it doesn't bother me at all now. It does my guests though. I always warn them they will get slimed. Have a drool towel handy. They are the sweetest gentle giants. I am absolutely head over heels for my baby Rustin. They come highly recommended by yours truly, but I'm biased.
They are very intelligent but very stubborn
They are stubborn so you need to be firm.they are so chilled out and great with kids.
They are strong willed dogs. You have to be able to control them
Do your research!!! Make sure this breed will fit with your family and lifestyle. Find a good and responsible breeder. Be ready for lots of slobber.
