Man Enters Burning Vehicle To Save His Dog’s Life

For those who consider their pets family, they would do anything to keep them safe from harm. When Wade Newman, a truck driver, was traveling across Canada with his two dogs in tow the unthinkable happened. Wade and his two dogs were involved in a horrible crash that instantly set the semi truck ablaze. One of the dogs, Sasha, was able to escape without any injuries, but Snowflake wasn’t so lucky. This is when Wade did something truly astounding; he quickly jumped into the fire to save Snowflake.

Once out, Wade rushed his injured poodle, Snowflake, to the Winnipeg Humane Society in hopes to save her life. Vets and technicians gave her around the clock care, which was needed to treat her severe burns covering most of her body. The Winnipeg Humane Society began to campaign on social media to raise the funds for Snowflake’s care. Her burns were very serious, and she would need skin graft surgeries to get back to 100%.

The community rallied around Wade and Snowflake. Donations poured in and volunteers offered to drive Snowflake to her surgical appointments.

Snowflake handled the pain and the unfamiliar faces and environments like a champ – and she made a lot of friends who worked hard to see her heal!

And in just a few short weeks, Snowflake was well enough to be reunited with Wade and his other dog, Sasha!

Her curly coat grew back in and she’s back to full health!

We are so thankful for people like Wade and the volunteers and staff with the Winnipeg Humane Society, who will stop at nothing to prove their love and loyalty to the pets who love them! Share this amazing story with your friends who love dogs!
