Man Tearfully Saying Goodbye To His Dog Shows Us How Hard It Is To Part With Our Furry Best Friends…

“Dogs’ lives are too short. Their only fault, really.” — Agnes Sligh Turnbull

We know that dogs only have an average lifespan of about 10 to 15 years. And we know that time will come when we have to say good bye to them. It’s heartbreaking, and it’s inevitable.

No matter how strong you are, when you love a dog, losing them will always make you break down and cry. And the guy in the video below who is tearfully saying goodbye to his dog shows us just how hard it is to bid our best furry friends goodbye.

Jesse James of West Coast Choppers shared a video of him saying goodbye to his loyal canine companion, a black Pit Bull named Bubba. It’s been over a year that Bubba had been battling prostate cancer, and just recently, they found out that he also has polyps in his rectum.

In the video you will see Bubba in his final moments, and Jesse is right beside him, saying his final goodbye.

Jesse captioned his Facebook video:

Compassion for your dog is such a sharp razors edge. When they get old and start to break down and suffer, It is so hard to make that decision to end that suffering. We find ourselves hanging on to any tiny sign of them being being ok, or better. We know it’s denial, but it’s so hard to call it what it is. It comes down to pure selfishness in the end, You not wanting to let them go. Seeing them in oblivious pain is just as hard as seeing their tail still wagging and light still in their eyes. Holding them in your arms and feeling their struggle and pain come to an end. That is the real lesson in showing compassion for your best friend.

In the end, Jesse had to let Bubba go–free from pain and suffering.

Our deepest condolences to you, Jesse, and to all those who had just lost a beloved furry friend.

Saying goodbye is truly hard. But the gift of having a dog, a faithful friend and companion, a dog who gives you unconditional love, and all the beautiful memories that you both share, makes the heartbreak worth it.

Run free, Bubba…
