With all the cruelty that’s happening in the world, especially that horrible Yulin dog meat festival in China, we seem to have lost our faith in people. That is why we dog lovers prefer dogs more than humans. But amidst all the evil, our faith is somehow restored because of the heartwarming kindness that some people show to animals. One of them was that retired teacher who spent her life savings buying stray dogs to save them from China’s Yulin Festival.
Now another kind heart has restored our faith in humanity–this man who dedicated his life doing everything he can to save dogs who are in immediate need of help. His name is Wilson Coutinho Martins from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
Recently, Wilson found a dog who was at the brink of death, with horrifying wounds, and in extreme pain.
The wounds of the dog are so severe that others might just put him down to put him out of his misery. But Wilson wanted to save the dog, so he quickly ripped out his shirt to dress the dog’s wounds.
If it wasn’t for Wilson’s quick thinking, the dog would’ve died. Wilson had some veterinary training, and it was put to good use when he tended to the poor dog.
But the dog’s injuries were so severe, so Wilson sought for professional help and rushed the dog to an animal hospital.
With his fighting spirit, and thanks to the help of Wilson and the vets, the dog amazingly survived! Despite the abuse that this dog went through, he is now recovering and his wounds are healing.
Look at how happy and beautiful he is now!
This was one of the worst cases of abuse, but thanks to Wilson, the dog survived and is living a happy and healthy life.
This wasn’t the first time that Wilson rescued a dog. He has already saved many dogs. One in particular was that abandoned Pit Bull he found in a pile of garbage.
We sure hope that there are more people like Wilson! This man is indeed a hero!
