The Blue Boys, aka Darren and Phillip, are Brisbane, Australia’s fastest raising celebrities.
At least, we think so!
Photographed by their personal “paparazzi” mom, Jennifer McLean, these boys are taking Facebook and Instagram by storm with their natural cuteness and obviously sweet personality.
And yes, they are pit bulls.
Darren, four-and-a-half years old, lives for attention. McLean calls him “Captain Needy Pants” – he will do anything for cuddles, as well as head and shoulder massages. He even likes attention more than food! He also has lot of energies and enjoys activities like jogging.
Philip is three-and-a-half years old and he is the “grocery/food ninja.” His mom says he will eat “absolutely anything and he’s been known to run off with whole loaves of bread and even entire pumpkins!” The opposite of his brother, Philip has no problem entertaining himself (mostly with eating) and is not into “exercise,” that takes away from eating time! But, McLean assures us that when he is sleep Phillip becomes the “biggest snuggle bug.”
But what prompted McLean to start sharing her photography with the world? She wants people to love pitbulls. She told iHeartDogs.com:
“If I could say one thing to people who don’t like the breed I don’t think I’d be able to stop at ‘one thing’ haha! I think I would just have to let them meet Darren and Phillip and decide for themselves once they’ve spent just five minutes with our two love bugs. I am so passionate about showing the world the true nature of Staffies through our photos. These dogs are desperate to make their owners happy and have so much love to give to their family members. They are THE best snuggle buddies. I would challenge anybody who hates the breed to spend one night on the couch with any Staffy or Pit bull and I can guarantee you they would fall in love.”
If only the people who see our dogs walking towards them and cross the road so they don’t have to walk past the vicious scary Staffies could see them when they’re at home

She is often asked how she gets her dogs into their adorable positions, her answer? They do it themselves!
“The boys absolutely love to snuggle,” she explained to iHeartDogs.com. “They sleep on their backs 90 percent of the time. Darren will get into position first and then Phillip takes his place right next to him shortly after. In most of my photos (unless they are sitting at a desk with a cup of tea or on a rocking horse),” she laughs. “they’ve gotten into the sleeping positions themselves. It’s amazing how snuggly they are!
And the clothes?
“They’ve always liked wearing clothes,” McLean adds. “I think it’s just because I fuss over them and they love the attention. It’s gotten to the point where Phillip has restless sleeps if he’s ‘naked’! I think the t-shirts and pjs comfort them.”

Calendar For A Cause
If you, like us, can’t get enough of “The Blue Boys,” consider purchasing their 2016 calendar. Lats year, their calendar allowed them to make a donation of $2,500 to their local staff rescue. This year, they are hoping to give even more to a Staffy and Bully breed rescue in Washington State
“They rely solely on donations to be able to rescue dogs and give them medical attention so it’s a great thing my boys can help out,” McLean says.
Also, be sure to follow the boys on Facebook, Instagram and their website.
And now, for some more cuteness!
