Many know Lisa Vanderpump from the reality TV show Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but that’s not all she’s up to these days. We all know that animal shelters are not the warmest, most hospitable places. So, Vanderpump and her husband, Ken Todd, decided to open a dog rescue that wasn’t like anything anyone had ever seen. In an interview with E! News, Vanderpump stated, “To go into some of the kill shelters, it can be very difficult and it can be very heart-wrenching and trust me, we know that more than anybody,” she said. “But with this space, we want it to have a…feel-good factor about it. All dogs are equal. It doesn’t mater whether they’re pedigree…so many of these dogs are just waiting for homes.”

At the “puppy lifestyle palace,” as Vanderpump calls it, you can adopt dogs from various shelters, hang out on the Wifi while sipping some tea and get your dog groomed (or “Vanderpuffed,” as it’s been coined) by the professional staff. The goal is to make a place that feels welcoming to everyone. Of course it wouldn’t be Beverly Hills if there weren’t lots of fancy treats, clothes and toys to buy your dog, so you can enjoy a good shopping spree too!

cheers to this!!! One step closer. #vanderpumpdogs

This rescue center is not the only thing Vanderpump and Todd are doing to help animals. The two co-founded the Vanderpump Dog Foundation, which is geared towards rescuing and providing needed medical treatment for abandoned dogs all over the world. It’s great to see people so generous when it comes to animals, and we’re definitely pleased with the way things are going at Vanderpump Dogs.
