Senior Dog Gets A Forever Home Thanks To One Of Our Amazing Readers!!

Update 11/12/15:

Raven has a home!! One amazing woman named Tracy was so inspired by this post that she hopped on a plane and picked up little Raven at the shelter in Georgia. Talk about a true hero! We are so overjoyed for Raven and her new dog mom, Tracy!!

Puppies are adorable, but senior dogs can still be just as cute. Old dogs are very sweet and they have years of experience in love and friendship.

It’s heartbreaking to hear news of old dogs discarded by their owners because of ridiculous and insensitive reasons. Like Jake the Sheltie, who was surrendered by his family because they had “no time for him”.

And now, another senior dog is in dire need of help. Sweet old Raven was found wandering in someone’s backyard. She was called in as a stray, but no one knows exactly if Raven ever had a family. Raven is partially blind and almost deaf, and she has no one. Workers at the Fulton County Animal Services shelter often find her staring at the wall. She gets a little startled when someone touches her, but she loves it when she get some love and attention from the staff.

It’s like Raven has no idea why she’s there at the shelter and all alone. She’s sweet and very gentle, but according to the shelter workers, she’s bewildered there. Raven clearly is in desperate need of a loving companion.
