An emaciated Pitbull mama was seen wandering the streets of New Orleans, obviously in need of help. After receiving a call about the struggling dog, volunteers from the Villalobos rescue team set out to locate her.
Soon it was clear that this roaming pup had very recently given birth and was likely nursing. As soon as this desperate mama dog realized the team of volunteers was there to help her, she became ecstatic. Running over with her tail wagging, the weak girl had obviously been in search of safety and kindness for a while. The Villalobos team reassured Mama and quickly started the search for her pups. Mama enthusiastically led them to a nearby house, where the reality of this dog family’s situation sank in.
The starving mother had been locked out of the house with her puppies inside. The timing of this rescue couldn’t have been better. This brave mama Pitbull was able to return to her beloved pups in time to get them healthy, and she herself received the attention she needed.
Such an emotional reunion.
