Fidget spinners are the country’s newest obsession, and it’s not just kids who are jumping on the bandwagon. People of all ages are catching fidget fever, and dogs never want to be left out. The human reaction to these ingenious plastic toys has been mostly positive, but dogs aren’t so sure. There’s something about fidget spinners that has canines cautiously confused.

This pup goes for an intimidation factor when presented with the mysterious object. Too bad the puppy barks are more adorable than scary.

While some dogs choose to err on the side of caution, others take the matter into their own paws. It doesn’t take long for this tiny pup to discover the secret to its human’s new favorite toy.  Maybe fidget spinners aren’t so bad after all. He’ll be learning new tricks in no time.

Speaking of tricks, this lab has everyone beat. Kids are impressed when they can balance the toys on their fingers, but can they pull off the weighted power of fidget spinners from the tip of their noses? This dog can. She sits perfectly still without even blinking. If there was a such thing as the Fidget Spinner Olympics, she’d take home the gold.

This Shiba Inu seems unsure at first but grows bolder with each perfectly balanced spin. He’ll likely join the hoards of school children who think they’ve just discovered the best thing ever. Check back in an hour, and this dog will still be going at it.

Whether fidget spinners are a passing craze or a toy that will stick around, dogs haven’t quite made up their minds. Some join their owners in thinking they’re the best new toys, but others seem convinced they’re pure evil. And sometimes, it’s impossible to tell what they’re thinking. This Golden Retriever simply doesn’t understand.

Either way, introducing dogs to fidget spinners is just another reason to go out and buy more of the collectible toys. You might give your dog the gift of hours of entertainment, but then again, you might completely freak him out. Whatever your dog’s reaction is, remember that fidget spinners are small, plastic, and the weights pop out easily. Never leave your dog with one unattended, and be aware of the choking hazards. But if you’re there to supervise, there’s no reason you can’t let your dog make their own opinion about the wildly popular toys.
