This Woman Overcame Anorexia As She Nursed Her Dog Back To Health

| Published on June 14, 2015

Sophie Hewlett is a 24-year-old woman from Upton Worcester England who suffered from Anorexia Nervosa. She was able to cope with her eating disorder thanks to her miniature Dachshund puppy named Eevee.

Sophie’s weight plummeted in 2013 because of all the stress she went through during her final exams at the university. It was at that time that she started skipping meals. She was at the brink of death weighing only four-and-a-half-stone (about 63 pounds).

But when she got her puppy Eevee, whom she had to feed regularly, Sophie realized that she also needed to have healthier eating habits. When Eevee was diagnosed with severe dehydration and needed feeding every 20 minutes, this ritual inspired Sophie to begin her own recovery. Watch the video below for the full story.

What an incredible story! Sophie helped Eevee recover from severe dehydration, and in return Eevee also motivated her owner to conquer her eating disorder!
