Puppy Was Dumped At A High-Kill Shelter For His “Imperfections”… But We Think He’s Beautiful!

| Published on November 24, 2015

Nobody’s perfect. So it’s not fair for people to get rid of dogs just because they think the dog is not perfect. How would you feel if your so-called family abandons you because of your imperfections? You’d feel depressed, right?

Just imagine how this poor Pit Bull puppy felt when his family dumped him at a high-kill shelter because he wasn’t perfect. His name is Captain Morgan.

Captain Morgan’s eye didn’t fully form, making him blind in one eye. His ear isn’t fully formed either–it’s missing a flap.

Oh hey there….want some kisses???

It was because of these imperfections that his owners dumped him at a high-kill shelter in North Carolina. Even though the staff told his owners that the puppy may be put down because they were at maximum capacity, they still didn’t care.

Luckily, the shelter posted a photo of Captain Morgan on Facebook, which caught the attention of Nicole Horabik, the assistant director of North Carolina’s Cause For Paws.

Some lovely member of society who allows her dog to have litters and litters of puppies has dumped this pup at shelter…

Nicole had to do something. She rescued Captain Morgan from the shelter, and became his new foster mother. Then she posted his photo on Facebook with a very powerful message.

UPDATE: Cap has his own FB page now that he’s so famous from this request to share post! https://www.facebook.com/theperfectcap/?fref=ts Let’s help this little dude and SHARE, SHARE, SHARE!!!

Nicole was also the one who named Captain Morgan. They call him “Cap” for short.

Watch the video below and see how playful this special little puppy is!

Cap finally found love in Nicole’s home. He was welcomed in such a warm, loving home, where he found new friends who were just as special as he is.

One of them is blind, and the other has only three legs. But all of them are just as loving, friendly, and sweet.

All of them have imperfections, but those imperfections are what makes them perfect.

Sunday morning snuggles.
