14 month old nippy Dobeman puppy

My boy gets very excitable around joggers, children, etc. How can i stop my boy barking at children and running and nipping joggers. He is not an aggresive dog, just very playful, but i am concerned that his excitment could lead to him getting into trouble. He is very good with all dogs and people? He goes to dog training and is very good in class, but they do not deal with this issue,
