My sheltue has allergies, right I am given him medicine which costs about 200.00 dollars. His nose gets red and all around his eyes and he also looses his hair on his nose. Does anyone know what else I can do? Giving him medicine for the rest of his life will that be ok for him?

I had blood work done to determine what my sheltie was allergic to, which was almost everything in foods and even grasses. So I put him on a white fish and sweet potato diet and got a dog antihistamine which worked great. His hair which was looking like mange came back in and he had a beautiful coat and so much more energy afterward. Good luck.
