Hi! My name is Frimousse. Yes, I’m French!… well, French Canadian that is. My mommy is not sure of my age or my race (she thinks I’m a Shi-Tzu/Poodle mix and the vet told her I was about 5 when she found me).
My mommy found me on the side of the road walking towards a busy intersection so she stopped her car and called me over. I came readily and she took me in the car despite the fact I was full of fleas and had a bad case of dermatitis (oh yeah, I also had kennel cough). She went around the neighborhood to find my parents to no avail. She took me to the vet for a flea treatment, bought some food and kept me in a very nice screened veranda with a view of the huge backyard. She then called the canine patrol to come and pick me up as she had not planned to have a dog. 2 days later they came to pick me up while she was at work and I ended up in a cage, wondering what had just happened… When my mommy came back from work and saw I was gone, she burst into tears because she had bonded with me big time. She called her sister and a few friends who all told her to go get me back. She thought about it because she knows that a dog is a big responsibility. She then decided to get me back but had to wait for a few days because the kennel was closed for the weekend. When she came back, I remembered her and I was very excited! She seemed so happy to see me too! Those first few weeks were a bit hard on both of us (her, financially and me, physically) because I had to receive treatment for all my conditions and I had to be neutered.
Now, 5 years later, I’m the most healthy, grateful, happy, spoiled fur baby. My mommy loves me so much it scares her! She actually tells me dozens of times EVERY DAY and kisses me all the time (it used to annoy me a bit, but now I love it).
