Bloody nostril after a violent sneeze

My Maltese has had a bloody nostril every time she sneezes. It’s been oozing out of her left nostril only. I took her to the vet and he thinks she has a viral infection and gave her some medications, but it’s hasn’t seem to have helped.
She does have breathing problems when she lays down and sometimes choke. Has anyone else experience something like this? Here are some pictures of what her nose looks like after she sneezes.
