my 10 mo old female weim is doing great on her training around immediate family, generally stays calm, knows her sit, down, stay etc…but when strangers come over..all bets are off and we have to restrain her with both hands to keep her from jumping up and nipping etc….we walk every day around the park and she does not do this when strangers approach or other dogs….any tips appreciated?

Our 8 mo old weim has the same problem. Jumps constantly when we walk in the door and nips in excitement for minutes, same with any guest that walks through our door. The only way we broke him of this was using a squirt bottle. Believe it or not as soon as we mention it or show it, the jumping stops. He is scared to death of it. Something that simple was our cure all. Good Luck.
