Greetings, my name is Bo and here’s my story. I don’t remember too much of my past life, except I ended up in a shelter. Well, mom and dad were looking to add to their fur family. Dad found my handsome face on Petfinder and told Mom. After thinking about me for awhile, they decided to come take a look at me. I saw a lady looking at all the dogs and she glanced at me, but kept on walking. Then she came back and told the man I was the dog in the picture. See, they didn’t recognize me because I’m actually smaller than the photo made me look. The lady asked some questions about me, like how did I end up at the shelter. The shelter lady said I was brought in as a stray. But here is the odd part, the woman who brought me to the shelter knew my birth date. Anyway, I was put on a leash so I could meet Dakota and Bella. Bella wasn’t happy at all, but Dakota seemed friendly. So, the three of us went back inside and as they, the rest is history.

The ride home was interesting because I just wanted to get to know my new family and I was so excited. Mom sat in the back seat, while dad drove, to make sure everyone behaved. You see, I’m a bundle of energy, while Bella and Dakota are much more laid back. Bella was quite grouchy, on the ride home and Dakota wasn’t too sure what to make of me.

Once home, I got to run around in a big yard. I went in the house and sniffed everything and everywhere. That night, at bedtime, mom wasn’t sure where I should sleep. There was a dog bed on the floor, but I knew by the smell that’s where Bella and Dakota slept. I surprised mom and dad by jumping on the bed and snuggling between them. Mom said she was sad because I must have had someone who loved me, at one time. How else would I know the bed is the best place to sleep.

So, I’m getting close to my first anniversary with mom, dad, Bella and Dakota. It didn’t take too long for Bella to accept me into the pack. You see, she is very protective of her family and I just needed to give her time. Dakota and I are best buds. We chase each other around the yard and do a lot of rough housing. Bella is blind now, so I try to be extra careful with her. We are snuggle buddies now. My life is so great, sometimes I wonder how I got so lucky. I know what it was, mom couldn’t believe how handsome I was and still am.
