My Ruby was recently diagnosed with Addison’s disease. I was wondering if it was common in this breed. If your dog has it, what was your experience with the diagnosis?

We adopted a 2yr female basset with Addison’s disease. She is now 9 yrs old and does beautifully on meds. Originally received an injection 1x a month but now on oral meds. Not sure if bassets are prone to this disease.
