Hello, I research on Google information about Shiba Inu. Shiba Inu is very independent breed that often act more like cats than dogs. They do what they want. Even if they know about training lesson that they will ignore whenever you called them, unless they will do if you bring the treat food for them. It is like almost every time to carry the dog food for treat.
I need your advice. Is Shina Inu is the right dog for me as “Service Dog”? I couldn’t find on Google information about the Service Dog for Shiba Inu.

Please let me know. Thank you so much.

I’ve never had a Shiba Inu, but from what you describe they might not be the best fit for a service dog. Are you looking for a service dog or seeking to train your Shiba Inu to be one?

I have had many shibas over the years. I would say, it depends on the dog. I spent a great deal of time with my female dog Tesa, because I had to take her when she was very young, and I used to take her to my job at Petsmart. She got really well trained. Yes, they are stubborn and willful and independent. But supremely loyal and loving to their person. Tesa is like a velcro dog, loves to be by my side. Actually, most of my shibas are like that. They like their freedom and independence, but at the same time, really love their people. They are quiet and polite, so they would be good out in public. They are not perfect dogs, though. They like to escape and run away, and because they are so smart, they need a job to do or they get themselves in trouble. They are not always good with other dogs, being they are territorial and like to be in charge. Again, I think it depends on the dog and on the relationship you have with her. The picture is of Tesa, who is a rare cream color. My other two shibas are red, the typical color.
