Hello. My dog has a behavior that I am simply curious about. Her name is Lucy and she is a (very sweet) 4 year old black lab. Lucy has a habit of bringing a Christmas decoration into our bed every night. This started last year. We have a stuffed Christmas moose that sits in an old trunk as a decoration. Every, single, night Lucy would bring this moose into our bed and leave. She didn’t bother it during the day or even when we left for the day. We didn’t quite understand why, but it definitely gave us a chuckle every morning. Fast-forward to this past weekend. We pulled out the decorations and I was so curious what Lucy’s response to the moose would be. But, she didn’t even acknowledge it. She didn’t sniff it, didn’t look at it.. nothing. We just figured she lost her interest. That is until we woke up the next morning with the moose in our bed! It happened the following day as well, which was this morning/ last night. I know you can’t read Lucy’s mind… but is there any reasoning behind what she is doing? I have it in my head that its here little gift to us. 🙂 Thanks for taking the time to read.

This is the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard!!!! I have never heard of a dog doing this before. I’m curious to know if any other dogs do this!!! Happy Christmas and enjoy your sweet baby! ❤️

Are you sure she is not bringing you something special to watch over you during the night when she is not in the room? What is the history of the Christmas moose? Did it belong to someone special? Is the scent or spirit of that person or pet still with the moose?
