      Hello,
we have a 5 and a 1/2 month old french bulldog and she gets in these absolutely crazy moods where she wants to play with our 81/2 year old dog and he doesn’t want to play with her so in turn she’ll bite us instead. We have tried yelping, saying ouch really loud, saying no, using biter spray, picking her up for a time out and ignoring her but non seem to really do the trick. She’ll be relentless and continue on her biting spree and it can really hurt. does anyone have any tips or tricks me can use to curb this habit?
      Thanks
      Lauren, Steve & Ruby

I have 5 dogs & a cat ranging in age from 6mos to 9yrs except my cat he’s 14 and trained them all with a squirt bottle – if they’re doing something they’re not suppose to & don’t stop when you tell them to you squirt them and as you squirt them you tell them again no or stop or go lay down, I’ve done this for years & it usually don’t take long & then you can just reach for it or hold it & they stop what they’re doing & walk away or you could always bite her back

      Good Luck

Ohhhh she’s a cutie!! Another important thing to remember is being consistent. If the rule is going to be for her not to bite, you need to be firm about it at ALL times. She should not be allowed to bite when playing with one person, and be corrected by another person for the same behavior. The family must decide on ONE rule and all her humans have to react the same way to her biting.
