I have a four year old German shepherd who started tail chasing at approximately three months old, we have tried medical intervention behaviourist and a healer . All with no results … He could be attention seaking ?
Unlikely he is in pain ( he is very active) being out most of the day in the garden and fields ,
Who has had this sort of issue and any ideas on resolving it ? -

Did you resolve the tail chasing?
Your dog get more exercise than my girl, but how much mental exercise does he get?
A friend of mine once told me physical exercise is important, but mental exercise is equally important.
I had a similar problem with my white Swiss shepherd.
The 5 year old girl Kiwi does this when she is anticipating going to the park and I am not moving quick enough for her.
I have sent her to look for her favorite toy as a way to focus her attention and burns up some energy finding said toy till she can get out and run off extra energy at the park.
I have found several toys that challenge her mind and these help her from tail chasing and being bored.
I don’t know if this will help your situation or not.
