“It’s day 8 in our furrever home. Our parents are figuring us out quickly and we are finding it harder to stay a step ahead of them. Last night we gave our Mom a slight concussion knocking her off her feet just to keep from being locked up in the front hall. We didn’t care that she had to go to work on the food truck, we just didn’t want to go back in there so soon. We’ve been looking for buried treasure in the backyard too. The rain on Thursday night made the ground so soft and easy to burrow into. Mom got the bright idea to have Dad bury our own poop in the holes we dug, thinking we wouldn’t dig where we could smell our poop. Boy was she wrong! It is our poop after all. We don’t care if our paws smell like that. We just want to keep digging for that treasure! The biggest change has been in all the sounds inside the house. At first we used to bark (well, mostly me) at EVERYTHING. The dishwasher, the dryer, the washing machine, sirens on TV, an airplane flying over, the imaginary sounds in my head. Now we are getting used to all the sounds and the only time we really bark is when I see someone on the security camera. Hope chimes in just to be a part of the barking. Dad takes pictures of us when we are sleeping and video of us wrestling. Posing for the camera isn’t gonna happen anytime soon. We love snuggle time in the mornings but we don’t get to sleep there all night. we will keep sleeping in the front hall, at least until we figure out how to escape from there anyway. Stay tuned for more adventures! If I had opposable thumbs you’d be getting hourly updates . . .” Grace (& Hope)
