When Aditya Raheja and her husband Sanjana Madappa of Bengaluru, India found out they were expecting, they couldn’t have been more excited. The couple has spent a good portion of their time rescuing dogs and providing them with loving, forever homes. They have five canine children and were really looking forward to adding the first human baby to their home. Unfortunately, not everyone shared the same sentiment.

After announcing their pregnancy, Raheja and Madappa were told by family, friends and doctors alike that they should surrender all of their dogs in order to provide a better home for the coming baby. This obviously was completely out of the question for these animal lovers. To show everyone that there is plenty of room for humans and dogs in their home, they decided to get creative with their maternity photos.

They included every single one of their beloved dogs in the photoshoot, proving that hearts just don’t run out of room to fit more love in them. We’re so excited that Raheja and Madappa stuck to their true beliefs and kept their home open to their dogs.

Raheja told Buzzfeed, “I had an unreasonably difficult pregnancy. My pregnancy became a high-risk one for pre-term delivery and I was restricted to the confines of my home […] Taking care of my dogs ensured I never felt the need to blame my pregnancy, the baby or my husband for the state I was in.”

The photoshoot was a success and not long after posing for them, Raheja gave birth to a healthy baby boy who is already loving his canine siblings.
