In Carson City, Michigan, a 9-year-old schoolboy is overjoyed to finally get a service dog–thanks to the efforts of his classmates and teachers!
Mason Burns has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy–a genetic disorder that results in muscle degeneration. Mason needed a service dog, but his family couldn’t afford one.
Mason’s teacher, Tiffany Ryan, noticed how Mason’s health was declining, and she wanted to help him. So she came up with a plan, gathered the student council, and raised funds to get Mason a service dog.
And with the help of Mason’s classmates, teachers, and a little media push from FOX 17, Mason finally got his own service dog! Watch the video below for the full story!
