Hopefully, it’s just an ingredient in her food. When that happened with my shih tzu, I found out several things at once. 2 things were that she was prone to pancreatitis (very serious) and that besides all the ingredients she could no longer have due to that condition, she was also very sensitive to other ingredients. Common foods (pumpkin, bananas, more) that were good for other dogs, were now things that her little system couldn’t tolerate.

I went through the same thing with my dog. He would be good on one proteins source for about six months and then I had to change his food. He went to multiple vets and it was diagnosed he has IBS. We’ve had much better luck on raw. He’s been on Primal Quail for a year and no issues.

Pick one food and keep your baby on it. I had a shih tzu for 21 years 5 months and 4 days she had a very sensitive stomach I kept her on kibbles and bits mini bites for 20 years of her life I know it’s not the best food but it worked for her and if her tummy did act up I would boil chicken and put rice in it and give that to her also instead of letting her slap up a bunch of water try ice cubes just make sure they’re big enough she can’t swallow them I would do that for a few days and then slowly work her food back in hopefully this will help your baby it sure did wonders for mine good luck

Surprisingly my shih tzu was not doing well on the chicken and rice diet when she was having diarrhea (really yellow mucusy stools). The vet just put her on meds but it still didn’t stop so I took out the chicken and started making her ground Turkey meatballs (boiling the ground Turkey) nothing mixed in it and her diarrhea stopped instantly! My shih tzu is 11 for reference so it just depends on their age, they become more intolerant/change their diets as they age, or so I’ve found with mine.

I use Royal Canin small breed adult dry dog food. My 3 little dogs have been on that since they were puppies, they’re now 8 & 9 years old. I also give them each 1 pkg of the Cesar brand wet dog food daily. The shitzu/maltese mix will only eat the filets with gravy, she’s very finicky, but the 2 Yorkie mixes will eat the chopped type..they’ll eat anything. I have found with my dogs that rice makes them vomit. They all love chicken and I make extra when I’m cooking chicken. Have you taken your dog to the vet for this issue? They can usually recommend brands of dry kibble to try and will probably tell you no wet food until you figure out a dry food that works best.

First have the dog checked for worms or other diseases. They can get this from nibbling bird poop, drinking from water puddles, etc. Once the vet says there is no parasitic problems, stick strictly to boiled skinless boneless chicken breast and white rice. No seasonings. No treats. No bites of human food. Start out just feeding a TINY bit to give the bowels a chance to calm down. Eventually work up to feeding three SMALL meals per day. There are meds you can get from the vet for runny bowels. Give this along with the chicken and rice. Be sure fresh water is always available. Watch the dog very carefully when outside to be sure he isn’t eating anything in the yard.
