Not a food recommendation, but I would HIGHLY recommend this allergy supplement on Amazon. Reduced my dog’s itching substantially. My vet said keep using it!

My boy is allergic to almost everything. He’s always been raw fed but still had skin allergies. Last year we did a 5 Strand Hair test and found out all of the foods that he’s allergic to. He now eats raw goat, beef, and fish with sardines and Omega 3 fish oil daily. He’s 10 years old and we now have his itchy skin under control.

Vet told me rather than go thru testing which is expensive and sometimes non-conclusive to switch out the protein source among better name brands…that by the time we finished a large bag allergies would flair up and I would know not to use that protein source. Beef and chicken were the culprits. So I stick to venison, lamb, whitefish and salmon varieties. I have two. A 90 pound girl and a 145 pound boy. So far it has been working for about a year and a half and no meds. Brands: Iams, Science Diet, Victor and Royal Canin. Good luck to anybody experiencing this. I wish you only the best.

Raw turkey and chicken, along with organs, etc. 30% kibble. His stool gets soft with raw beef so we limit it. Eggs, veggies, fruits, chicken broth, pumpkin, salmon, mackerel. Basically, he eats better than us.

Merrick, raw infused kibble. But I use the beef one, chicken has proven to make his allergies worse.

Raw is my vote too lol. If you ever decide to attempt it, do your research and keep an eye on proper proportions of meat/bone/organs.In a pinch, lazy day, or if I can’t get the meats, I’ll use Honest Kitchen. Both the dehydrated (usually limited ingredients/grain free turkey or chicken) or even their HK Clusters (kibble).
