#1 – Colorado

This entire state is brimming with fido-friendly places to stay and play. Colorado Springs, Telluride (awarded National Geographic’s “The Dog Lovers Guide to Travel” Paw of Approval), and Salida, to name a few, have many places to stay with activities ranging from rafting to hiking that welcome your dog. #2 – Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf Islands, Florida

#3 – Sedona, Arizona

Sedona has some of the most unusual and breathtaking hiking in the world, and your dog is welcome to see the sights with you. Not a hiker? Not to worry there are other dog-friendly attractions like shopping, biking, and dining, to name just a few.

At this retreat, there is something to do regardless of what season you decide to visit. From hiking in the summer to dog sledding in the winter, this place is great for four-legged travelers. While this whole region is dog-friendly for the most part, your bucket list must have the St. Francis Winery & Vineyards. Named after the patron saint of animals and the environment, they are very welcoming to all four-legged travelers. They host an annual “Blessing of the Animals” ceremony.
