Buddy and Hobbs came to live with their foster mom Camille once a rescue group stepped in and saved the pack from a hoarding situation. The bonded pair was traumatized, even going outside to relieve themselves was overwhelming. Camille had to carry them, one by one, into the yard.
Camille understood that the two dogs needed to decompress. She put them in a comfortable room and visited them often. She’d quietly sit down beside them and read to them. Buddy and Hobbs eventually warmed up to Camille and greeted her at the gate, wagging their tails.
The foster mom wanted to acclimate the pups to go outside on their own, so she fed them dinner by the back door. If they didn’t think the door was so scary, maybe they’d walk through it. And it worked! Buddy and Hobbs soon ran through the door and into the yard where they played with Camille’s other dogs. What a glorious sight to see!
Since the pair shouldn’t be separated, and one dog is blind, Camille prays that they find a loving home together. Fostering animals in need is so important. Thank you, Camille, for all you do! To see Buddy and Hobbs’ complete story, check out the video below!
