Nervous Dog Was Afraid Of Everything Until Her Baby Brother Came Along

Weezy hasn’t had an easy life. She was afraid of just about everything – from people to her own toys and even flies. Weezy would shiver and cower in fear and even when she was adopted from the shelter, she was returned because she was too frightened in her new home. Thankfully, a woman named Sarah Mavro took Weezy home and offered her a new beginning.

Although Weezy was still frightened, they had her teeth checked out. They were in such bad shape they all had to be pulled, leaving her with just two left. This explains her signature tongue-out look. Unfortunately, Weezy was still very nervous in her forever home. It took her 3 years to bark for the first time, but Mavro took this as a sure sign of trust and comfort.

What surprised everyone was what finally turned Weezy into a comfortable, happy dog – and that was her new brother, Evan. Evan is Mavro’s human baby and although she hoped Weezy would like him, she didn’t expect her to love him so much. It turns out that having Evan around actually gave Weezy the comfort she was looking for. “He is 7 months old now and she loves him even more than she loves us I think,” Mavro told The Dodo. “She will climb right up beside him and let him get all over her.”

Weezy is completely relaxed around Evan and she’s learning to trust life again. Evan is what finally sealed the deal to make Weezy feel safe around her family. She loved them even before he arrived, but she would still hide from strangers and shiver under the blankets in uncertainty. Now, she’s more relaxed than ever and the two have become best friends.
