Nina came to the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) from the Ohio County (KY) Animal Shelter in late January on transport thanks to a grant from GreaterGood.org funded by the iHeartDogs.com community!

Upon arrival, Nina had a bad case of heartworm. Despite this, Nina is a happy, sweet pup who loves everyone she meets. At KHS, Nina received medication to destroy the parasites that were in her heart. After a few weeks, she was feeling much better!
Nina went to a KHS adoption center, and within a week she found her new family, and they adopted her on the spot. Nina continues to receive monthly heartworm medication at KHS, and they expect she will be completely healed soon!
