While the dogs on this list may not have the loudest bark, they tend to be the nosiest. These are the breeds that would be at the salon gossiping all day.

#1 – Beagle

Not only does the beagle like to make noise, it is quite a unique sound too. Their “bay” can really drive you crazy, so proper training is a must.

#2 – Shetland Sheepdog

Known as the nosiest herding breed, an untrained Sheltie seems to bark almost incessantly. They alert bark, demand bark, bark out of excitement, and sometime just to hear their own voice.

#3 – Chihuahua

The tough guy of the small breeds, the Chihuahua thinks he is a big dog, and likes to boast about his accomplishments to anyone that will listen. Just don’t let him catch you laughing at his bravado, or he will definitely bark back.

#4 – Siberian Husky

The Husky likes to talk more than bark. Some owners call it singing – they tend to howl and make other noises to let you know what they want or to share a secret.

#5 – Yorkshire Terrier

Like a lot of small terriers, the Yorkie likes to hear their own voice. They will definitely let you know if they are displeased with something you are doing (or anyone else for that matter).

#6 – Miniature Schnauzer

The smallest of the Schnauzer family takes his job of guarding very seriously. This noisy little dog will let you know if a leaf blows by your front yard.

#7 – Australian Shepherd

Though not quite as noisy as the Sheltie, a lot of Aussies are very good talkers. They are known for excitement barking as well as demand barking when you are not throwing their toy fast enough.

#8 – Alaskan Malamute

Like the Husky, the Malamute is also a real talker, using howls and other noises more than a true bark. They will talk to you about their day and, if you’re lucky, listen about yours in return.

#9 – Pomeranian

If not trained, the Pom can be very talkative. Like most of the small breeds, they believe the world should run according to their rules and they will let you know if you step out of place.

#10 – Rat Terrier

This tenacious terrier loves to talk! Whether defending the house, chasing after a rabbit, or wrestling with their siblings, they will most likely talk while doing it.
