The Price Is Right’s “Pet Adoption Week” Showcases Shelter Cuties Hoping To Find Homes

It’s nice to know that the legacy of animal advocacy started by The Price Is Right‘s Bob Barker in the 1970’s is still being honored by his successor.

This week the show has gone to the dogs with adoptable pets from Los Angeles shelters being presented by Brandon McMillan of “Lucky Dog”, The Price Is Right models, and host Drew Carey.

Lucky Dog’s Brandon McMillan is stopping by The Price Is Right tomorrow morning for CBSDaytime’s Pet Adoption Week! Check your local CBS listings.

The first pup featured on Monday morning’s show has already been snatched up by a loving adopter. She is a blond, scruffy-haired Terrier mix with a delightful underbite by the name of Trinket. Her lucky adopter, Sherry Rehfield said, in part:

I adopted Trinket the day after she appeared on the show. When she jumped in my lap I knew she chose me. I didn’t have a chance to say no.”

Tuesday’s featured pet – 3-month-old Malti-Poo, Inky – was also adopted in record time after the show was recorded.

But just because the delightful Trinket and fluffy-faced Inky have found their forever families, doesn’t mean you’re out of luck! There are plenty more pets to see on this week’s shows, and, of course, right down the road at your local shelter!

This is Inky! He’s a 3 month old Maltipoo. We’re happy to announce that Inky has been adopted! #PetAdoptionWeek

Don’t forget the signature sign-off 93-year-old Barker made famous nearly 40 years ago:

“Help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered!”
