Best food for a Golden Retriever

I switched mine to Royal Canin Golden Retriever kibble. She loves it and I can tell she is getting more nutrition than previous brands. Pricey but worth it. My vet also recommended it.

Chicken is a problem for a lot of Golden Retrievers. In Canada we feed Go Solutions Salmon for digestion issues. It has been good for us. We have to be really careful with treats, always checking ingredients.

Fromm‘s and then I either add green beans (unsalted) or blueberries. I use the weight management because my boys waist was filling out – so is mine.

4Health Salmon at Tractor Supply has worked wonders for my Golden Retriever with allergies.

We went to Farmer’s Dog and they love it. If you want, you can also mix it with some Purina Pro Plan, shredded chicken and rice.

Here’s what we feed our Golden: botmati rice with a scrambled egg, a bit of cooked 90/10 hamburg, canned sweet potato (heaping tablespoon full), some frozen (not cooked, just break them up) and a bit of low salt broth… mix it all up… feed to our dog 2x a day. He loves it!

Open Farms Salmon w/ Ancient Grains, my boy has a very sensitive digestive tract after trying so many different kinds this one is working out so far after 1 yr and 1/2.

We feed Fromm dry kibble. Our Golden is much better on that.

Sweet potato and salmon or green pea and salmon from Costco. My girls love it! Or, Fromm’s Duck a la Veg. My 14 year old Golden that passed in her sleep in January had a very sensitive stomach so that is out what I fed her for most of her life.

Royal Canin for adult Golden Retriever. They also have puppy formula for Goldens as well. Allergies have been significant this year and my Golden gets a shot from the vet every 6-months. My other Golden did not have any issues with allergies.

We use The Honest Kitchen brand and mix it with fruit and vegetables. She loves it, and her annual blood tests have always come back perfect.

Cook chicken, rice, veg in a batch cook. Our Golden Retriever has lived until she was 12 years and 3 months, she has gone now so heartbreaking.

We use TASTE OF THE WILD bought at our local feed store and they have all kinds of different flavors and ingredients all grain free.
