My 2-year-old Frenchie is constantly chewing (or licking) her paws. My husband and I have done some research and thought it could be a food allergy, so we’ve switched up her food a couple times with no luck. She’s currently gluten and poultry (by-product) free. We feed her Core food. Anyone else have this problem? Have you found a solution? Any input would be appreciated!

My little guy is 10 years old and has always licked his paws. I brought it up to the vet and he says it is not unusual. He has food and grass allergies. We give him Benadryl on occasion but it only helps a little. We has tried the socks/booties but he just pulls them off. We have found some relief with soaking his feet in Epsom salts. Check with your vet but I would assume there’s not much you can do. We’ve tried everything. Good luck. I hope you find something that helps.

Our 2 1/2 year old little lady has always licked her paws as well. Our vet said something similar to the previous post. He believes she has grass allergies and perhaps a food allergy. Our little lady takes Apoquel once a day (prescribed by the vet), and it works very, very well. Might be worth asking about.

My Lola had the same problem for 6 yrs
Tried meds , changed her food to grain free
      Diferant brands nothing worked… Recently
Changed her to raw food. WOW no more meds
And no more licking. Wish i did that years ago :))
