      Hello Everyone!
      Meet Cookie.
I adopted this sweet girl a little over a month ago and I am completely in love. Everyone at the pet store and vet tell me I “won the puppy lottery” and I couldn’t agree more!
Based on what I was told I believe her to be between 11 months and a year old.
I could use some help identifying her breed…
My best guess is American Bulldog/ English Pointer.
Here are some of her behavioral characteristics:
      – VERY happy and even tempered
      – Obedient, learns the “NOs” quickly and usually doesn’t try again
      – VERY good at learning tricks
      – Always eager to please
      – Loves children
      – Protective: Typically when meeting new people she barks ferociously (though with a happy tail wag) until she smells them then almost instantly goes to licking them and being very friendly
      – Occasionally attacks / plays too rough with other dogs (we are working on this and I am socializing her as much as possible)
      – Sometimes likes to fetch but I wonder if it’s more to please me because she knows I want her to.
      – Very cuddly/affectionate
      – Have only caught her really digging twice in the 5 weeks Ive had her (and I am gardening daily)
      – Not Excessively “chewy” – hasn’t destroyed anything …yet (knocking on wood)
      – *Points like a pointer: tail up and all. Has the statue-like freeze of a pointer
      > Also, note her Pointer-like spots!
      – Makes “bulldog noises” which I love
      – VERY VERY curious and intelligent – not just because I am biased, she IS – I cannot find any treat-dispensing toys, etc. she cant figure out almost instantly. Plus it is almost impossible to trick her when trying to conceal a treat while training.

Anyways, I don’t know if ALL of that is relevant to her breed but any help would be appreciated! Thanks, guys!
