Help!! I have a 6 month old male Australian shepherd who is very lovable toward everyone, but when I take him outside or try to kennel him, and this only happens to me, he gets very aggressive towards me and my ankles and legs. I always get dark bruising afterwards..

At only 6 months old, I’m thinking he will outgrow this way of getting attention. We had an Aussie Cattle Dog, loved everyone, & never bit anyone. But if there were kids over swimming, every time one would get out and run around the pool or head for the diving board, Rascal would nip at their heels. Only once did he actually leave a mark, one boy had a bruised heel. I just chalked it up to his herding instincts.

Your dog is doing what he was bred to do. You might want to offer him an alternative to your ankles like a chewie. Then when he accepts it instead of biting your ankles reward him with praise.
