I am just looking for some tips on the best way to introduce our new dog Roxie into our house. My husband and I have a 3 year old son. Roxie a mixed breed that is just under two years old. She is coming from a family friend so we have been around her a couple times before. The only reason they are giving her to us is because we fell in love with her and they think she would do better here since she would get more attention and we are home throughout the day. I just don’t know if there is anything we can do to make this transition easy for Roxie. TIA

If you want Roxie to adjust easily through the transition from moving to a new home, try to get her to know the people who are living in the home first. Introduce her to the family and let her sniff around and get their scent so she can recognize the people who live in her new home. Allow to explore a bit around the home, dogs like to sniff around their surround and see if their are any other dogs around the area, so having them sniff around the home will help her to adjust and gain a sense of familiarity. If you need any other tips why not give this a read, it can have some useful information for ya. http://pupunite.com/straight-forward-dog-training-guide-puppies/

Very important topic! I think every dog owner face this problem when they bring a new dog in their house. I think beside them above mentioned points you can bring some toy specially interactive toys so that the dog will enjoy with playing and day by day it will be more friendly.

Yes, I think so. Interactive toys help your dog’s physical and mental health. I have purchased IQ Treat Ball – you can check more from here – https://dogblow.com/best-interactive-dog-toys/
