#9 – Rendered (Added) Fat

Sounds delicious, no? Well, your dog probably thinks so, since it’s used to add flavor, but it is also a source of microorganisms such as salmonella and toxins. It makes a great home for bacteria to grow too, which will spoil the kibble faster. If that is not enough, rendered fat can come from anywhere including: dead, dying, or diseased farm animals, slaughterhouse waste, dead zoo animals, road kill, oh and euthanized cats and dogs!
