When one wife received a flower delivery at her house, she thought that her sweet husband had sent them as a surprise. As it turned out, the bouquet was actually a “get well” gift for their Bulldog, Sebastian!
Debbie Cardone took to Facebook and posted about the hilarious mishap. But it was her daughter, Lily, who put the story on Twitter, where it went viral.
“So Flowers were delivered today. My husband is very good about sending random flowers to me. I thought ‘oh isn’t this nice!’…then I read the card…” reads the original post on Debbie’s Facebook wall.
Lily couldn’t help but share the incident with her Twitter followers, taking a screen shot of her mom’s post and adding her own caption: “My dad sent flowers to my house today, and my mom thought they were for her [laughing emojis] THINK AGAIN.”

As for Sebastian, he seemed to enjoy the fragrant flowers, sticking his nose in the roses for a whiff.
According to one of Lily’s tweets, the pup is recovering from ACL surgery and their father wanted to send him some words of encouragement. We bet they helped their pooch read the card, which said, “Sebastian, Feel better you’ll be back in the game very soon. Love Daddy.”
We bet this mom wasn’t too upset that the flowers weren’t for her. After all, who doesn’t love a man that cares about dogs?!
