In Austin, Texas, a dog mom is distraught after watching a stranger snatch her dog from right in front of her.
Rene Robinson was walking Peeko, her 14.4 pound American Eskimo-Chihuahua mix, when the traumatic incident occurred. Although he was heeling by her side, Peeko was unfortunately off-leash when a patron from a nearby bar approached them.
After reprimanding Robinson for being “too stern” with her pup, he took the dog away, got in his car, and sped off. When the hysterical dog-mom arrived home at around 3 am, her son woke to her frantic cries, saying that Peeko had been stolen.
The dog mom is especially upset because her pup is an emotional support dog who helps with her PTSD.

It’s been almost two weeks since Peeko was stolen, but the family is not ready to give up on the pooch yet.
The incident occurred on April 14, near a bar at the corner of Pond Springs and Cahill Roads. An article by CBS Austin asks for anyone with information to come forward:
If you have seen Peeko, or you know where he is, you can call Austin Police at 512-974-5484 or call Jereme Robinson directly at 512-317-6542.
We hope that Peeko is found safe and sound and reunited with his family.
