Hope is a senior Beagle who came to the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) from Anderson County Humane Society (ACHS) thanks to a grant from GreaterGood.org funded by the iHeartDogs.com community.
Hope suffered from lack of care before being rescued by ACHS; she had significant hair loss due to demodectic mange, which ACHS treated. At KHS, Hope was spayed and received a dental to remove painful, infected teeth. She is currently in a KHS foster home to allow time for her hair to grow back as she gets medical and nutritional care. She is happy and thriving in her new rescue. She is expected be ready for adoption soon and find a forever home quickly. Just look at the face! Who could say no?
There are hundreds of miles between the Anderson County Humane Society and the Kentucky Humane Society where Hope is getting the care she needs. The Second Chance Movement funds transport for pets from high-risk shelters to rescues where they have all the time they need to find a home!
