Part of each sale through the iHeartDogs store is donated to Greater Good, which helps support various charities like Rescue Rebuild. Thanks to customers like you, happy endings, like the one below, are made possible.

Pima County Animal Care Center and the Christopher Columbus Park both had needs they couldn’t afford to address. While they had plenty of room for agility and enrichment, after taking care of all the animals, there was little money left to cover much-needed updates. They also wanted a way for the animals to use their pent-up energy, making them less hyper and more adoptable. Fortunately for them, Rescue Rebuild knew exactly what to do.

Rescue Rebuild loaded up the trailer, gassed up the truck, and headed to Arizona! Agility steps and tunnels made of recycled tires were painted and laid throughout the properties. Three cat rooms received enrichment.

Another problem that was plaguing the shelter was a metal ramp and bridge that would get so hot it would burn the dogs’ feet. Since this was an urgent issue, volunteers were quick to paint the bridge and ramp with a non-reflective paint to keep cool when the sun is beating down.

The outside of the shelter, as well as multiple rooms inside, were painted to look more inviting for the prospective adopters. Last but not least, the team constructed over 10,000 cat and dog toys. What a way to help out our four-legged friends!

They accomplished so much in only four days. These new improvements will make such a difference in the animals’ lives. No more burnt feet – thank goodness! No more stored up energy, making the animals rambunctious and less adoptable. What a success!

Pima County Animal Care Center is just one of the many groups that benefit from Greater Good’s Rescue Rebuild program. Every time you make a purchase from the iHeartDogs shop, you’re helping fund projects just like this!
