After loosing my Kitty Kitty, I knew I couldn't replace her but I want another dog. So end of May 2021 hubby and I went to the shelter just to get an idea of what we wanted and how much it was. One dog caught our eye but we going to wait and give more time to grieve Kitty. As we headed towards the exit a side door opens up and there was a beautiful pit at the end of a leash and she looked up at hubby and winked at him. Got her info, Maggie 10yr old. We had already decided to take in an older dog cause they get screwed. They told us that she had been there since April. That was it decision made. So I did paper work on the adoption and they informed us that if we were chosen that we couldn't adopt her until medical treatment was completed. We would foster her If we agreed to take her to all her appointments and after treatment was completed if we still wanted her we could adopt. We received the thumbs up the day before my birthday so I waited till November 10th and adopted her. She definitely was not at all my Kitty Kitty but she was my Maggie Mow. She will be greatly missed.
