Rex was the goodest boy ever. Rex was rescued in 2012 after being catch running wild with a pack of coyotes on the beach in South Tx being the alpha. He was only 2 years old at the time. We were told he was too wild for a family, and he ended up being the best dog we could've ever asked for. A best friend. A brother. A protector. Family. Loved. Perfect in every way. He was here for everything. Gaining 2 human siblings and 3 fur siblings plus helping guide our fosters that we had throughout the years. He was such a great mentor to them all. He was a cuddle bug, a teddy bear and just comfort. He was home. He was here to help me through the passing of my Granny December 10, 2025 and through her Celebration of Life April 3, 2026. Just 2 days before 3 month anniversary of passing Rex was laid to rest. I truly believe he was meant to make it through this time period to help me through the toughest thing I ever had to go through. But who would've known the one person I wanted to call after having to put Rex to sleep, was also in Heaven with him. Rex was my best friend. The one dog I wish I could keep forever. We will all truly miss him. The best dog ever. Yesterday was his birthday, he would've been 16 years old. Happy Heavenly Birthday. We love you, forever and always.
